HOW TO FIND US
We are approx a 25 minute drive from the A1 and only a 10 minute drive from the A19.
Thirsk (a 15 minute drive away) is the closest mainline station with fast links to, York, Leeds, London and other major cites.
Newburgh House tea room and the village of Coxwold are both within walking distance. The picturesque village of Coxwold features a local tea room and the Fauconberg Pub. Other visitors attractions include: Shandy Hall, Newburgh Priory, Fountains Abbey and Castle Howard. The Market Towns of Thirsk, Helmsley and Easingwold are all a short drive away. The city of York is also less than 15 miles away.

From the village of Coxwold - head out of the village following signs for Yearsley/Malton. After approx 1 mile, you will come to the Duck pond, continue past the pond and past Newburgh House and Gardens on your left. Keep going up the steep hill - at the top, on the corner you will see a black metal gate signposted Hinoki Retreat. Car Park entrance is immediately through the black metal gates.

From the village of Oulston - carry on out of the village following signs for Coxwold. Do not take the right turn for Yearsley. Carry straight on following the road with the stone wall on your right. After approx 1 mile you will come to a tight corner, the car park entrance is on your right at the top of this decent behind black metal gates, signposted Hinoki Retreat.

We have a strictly no smoking policy within the cabin & yurts.

Please remove your shoes before entering the cabins.

Our Yurts Eisa & Sugi have space for 1 baby (no charge) and 2 children on 2 single futons (£10 per child per stay). Please bring your own bedding for the futons. A travel cot is available on request.

Eisa & Sugi can accommodate 2 dogs charged at £10 per pet per stay). Dogs must be well behaved and kept on a lead due to the vicinity of livestock to the site. If you do not wish to bring pets onsite, there is a Luxury Boarding Kennels approx 2 miles from our site (www.pondheadkennels.co.uk)

Please note Oku our couples luxury cabin cannot accommodate children.
Newburgh House and Grounds is a private residence. Please keep to the Hinoki Retreat grounds only (these will be clearly marked out)
The Newburgh Estate hosts weddings each weekend and have a music licence to be played until 12.00am on a Saturday night. This may be audible from the cabin facilities, please keep this in mind when booking.
Each cabin comes with it’s own private luxury Japanese Ofuro wood fired hot tub (2 man capacity), however you need to be comfortable lighting and maintaining a fire so that the water heats up to the required temperature approx 35-40 degrees C. If you wish to have the hot tub ready for your arrival, please inform us at the time of booking. There is a £15 charge for this service.
We recommend guests bring a torch with them for returning to the site at night time. We also advise that you bring walking boots or wellington boots for inclement weather.

Due to the woodland location our accommodations may not be suitable for all guests. Woodland terrain and the walking distance from the car park to each cabin/yurt should be kept in mind when booking. Eisa (approx 50m), Oku (approx 150m) and Sugi (approx 250m).

Please note we have a minimum of a two night stay policy.
